AARRG!
Date: 2019
Image Description: A photograph of a protest sign critiquing the MTA’s Access-A-Ride paratransit service and proposed fare increases. The main body features bold, hand-drawn black lettering formatted like a math equation alongside an illustration of a finger pressing a calculator: “MTA: ACCESS-A-RIDE BUDGET….. 4-hour delays + crazy detours + bad service = 9% fare hike?! It doesn’t add up!” Along the bottom border are the logos of five coalition organizations: AARRG! (Access-A-Ride Reform Group), BCID (Brooklyn Center for Independence of the Disabled), CID-NY (Center for Independence of the Disabled, NY), Mobilization for Justice, and NYLPI (New York Lawyers for the Public Interest).
